Pathways

5/4 - The Four Yogas
In the Hindu tradition they admonish parents to not impose their religious path on their children. Each must discover the “Path” that best suits their soul. Four yogic paths are revealed in the Gita. We will explore those paths this Sunday.

5/11 - New Thought Systems
The great Chinese masters left us with their teachings and we also look at our everyday masters. Winnie the Pooh is called one of these masters and also Saint Francis and Emerson are practitioners of this organic path. Perhaps you also have some of the qualities of a Tao master.

5/18 - The Mystic Path
Any teaching based on “oneness” would be a mystical path. Ours is such a philosophy. What does it mean to awaken the heart of the mystic? How does one move out into the world of duality knowing it is all a unity? Can one find the practical aspects of mystical living? Bring your expanded awareness as we dive into that Ocean of Oneness and allow the Presence to awaken within.

5/25 - Nature’s Way
There is probably no more universal path than the simple way of “Nature”. Thoreau said it was the thinnest veil to Spirit, while Emerson called it a “mute gospel”. Let us journey together on the familiar pilgrimage that abounds around us. What if the raindrops that fall have meaning and the trees could speak? Listen to nature preach.

Living The Eternal Way

6/1 - The Middle Way
Buddhist tradition describes a “middle path” where there is no grasping and no pushing away. It is a simple practice of living in the moment and taking the next step in mindful awareness.

6/8 - Caesar’s Way
The National Geographic Network shows The Dog Whisperer in which Caesar Milan is the inspiration leader of the pack. He embodies our New Thought teaching in the most profound ways. His slogan is, “I rehabilitate dogs and train people.”.

6/15 - The Organic Way
Life unfolds organically and is a living experiment requiring spontaneous adjustments and reorganization constantly. To live in such a way makes for a healthy and vibrant life. Rev. Jodi Rutenburg, a new Animal Chaplin, will share her path and how it continues to bless and surprise her.

6/22 - The Authentic Way
As we awaken to our spiritual wholeness and discover the wonder of our “true” self, a new way presents itself. Elise Lin, a new Practitioner, has been living an authentic way through use of spiritual principles woven into her daily life. She will share her soul and how the “authentic” expression has blossomed in her life.

6/29 - The Attentive Way
There is a path of silence, of allowing, of witnessing and of being with what is. This is the way of one who is awake and says “yes” to life. Having recently returned from a retreat, Rev. David will share the pearls from this attentive way. To see the world in a grain of sand and eternity in a flower requires that we “pay attention”. Enter that consciousness and smile.
