David's Reflections
September - October 2009

I heard it once said a bird does not sing because she has a message, but because she has a song to sing. Could we liberate the same uniquely expressive voice that longs to sing? Perhaps it is time to awaken to our own authentic self and live from the truth of our being.
For the next two months we will inquire into LIVING THE AUTHENTIC LIFE ant then explore the TRUTH which scripture tells us will set us free when we know it. All of this is not something that can be taught but is rather a personal discovery for the one who is willing to look within. It is our intention to provide a space in which that realization can occur.
As fall returns, so do the classes and other opportunities to go within and discover the nature of consciousness. Our Center is dedicated to the emancipation of the soul through spontaneous and natural awakening. This occurs when we are ready.
It is Dr. Barker who would admonish his students, “An idea belongs to the one who uses it.” If you follow that reasoning, we might conclude that a life belongs to the one who is willing to live. Perhaps that is a call to “be who we are” and an invitation to discover the truth that is already here. It is all an inside job.
Some great artists are coming to our Center in September to entertain and inspire. A fall retreat is offered to AWAKEN PRESENCE in collaboration with the Atlanta Center for Spiritual Living. Activities throughout the week are offered to uplift and support the individual who is willing to participate in their own unfoldment. Dive in!
We are also celebrating our Founder’s Day this fall. I believe we are 23 years old. Wow! Heartfelt thanks to all of you for continuing to show up with your open minds and hearts. It takes a village to create this glorious spiritual community and without you it could not be done. It is our intention to continue to SERVE THE ONE in every way. Let us know any of your ideas on how we can better achieve this vision.
