Reverend David "There is one common flow, one common breathing, all things are in sympathy."

Hippocrates

As my eleventh year in the ministry begins I feel that I am always returning to basics. What's it all about, Alfie? How can I make sense of this human/divine paradigm? So I call upon Spirit and I declare, "Let me discover and offer vehicles for awakening, for myself and others." Over the years, these have included body disciplines, treatment work, meditation, and a variety of classes intended to educate and inspire the soul.
The awakening is just the beginning and paradoxically the goal as well. How to stay awake and compassionate in this world of distractions is the great challenge for all students of truth. Our Center offers us a way of life where we collectively awaken and unfold. In my own personal journey, I have learned that the universal must be wedded to the personal in order to fulfill the spiritual life.
Following the awakening comes, ATTENTION, SURRENDER and COMMITMENT. Our happiness and success do not depend on changing conditions in the world but do emerge out of our willingness to consciously evolve (transform), so we place our attention on the moment and the only one we can change, ourselves. We surrender to a Power greater than we are and steadfastly commit to the revealing process.
A student of mine shared how he was now doing treatment work for friends and family. One of them was in the throughs of a heartbreaking divorce with a lot of pain and bitterness. He offered to do treatment, and in that "state of Mind" all conflict dissolved and a deeper awareness of peace and harmony and forgiveness emerged. What unfolded in Mind was a FLOW of love and peace as the door was shut to the past hurt and a new life called forth. Both felt transformed in the process of giving and receiving those insights from the Presence of Love Itself. They blessed the past and left it behind in order to embrace the coming.
A similar dynamic is true for our Center . We now get to recreate ourselves anew in that peaceful flow of the Souls expansion. Many of us will be coming together Sunday mornings at 9:40, before the healing service, to invoke the deeper vision for our church. Our intention is to open us up to a new dance of awareness where we can more greatly serve the vision.
Each of us is a valuable member of this living Center of ours. Get involved in the loving, and the soothing and the laughing and the awakening, which is ongoing.
Together we are nurturing the soul within us all and In return are nourished by the Over soul . How sweet it IS.
I look forward to the next 10 years in service to the Beloved, the One Within Us All.
