 ¨He has awaited me for countless ages,
for love of me He has lost His heart;
Yet I did not know the bliss that was so near to me,
for my love was not yet awake"¨
-- Kabir
As near as the plant that is ready to awaken from its long winter nap, as close as the breeze that softly tousles the tender green leaves, as warming as the sunshine that invites the bud to bloom, so is that Loving Presence gently prodding us into wakefulness.
I have but to walk along my garden path and I am taken into the world of wonder and amazement. To think that such a beauteous thing could bc created for my eyes takes my breath away. I am then reminded that we too are of equal magnificence and yet we seem unaware. Could I be like the lilies in the field?
Meister Eckhart said "The seed of God is in us. Given an intelligent and hard-working farmer, it will thrive and grow up to God, whose seed it is; and accordingly its fruits will be God-nature. Pear seeds grow into pear trees, nut seeds into nut trees, and God seed into God." Wow! I go to the mirror of life and see if I can notice the beauty of my soul which like that bud yearns to burst into flower
The good news is that the seed of God has already been planted. My job is to intelligently and persistently grow the Godseed of my Being. Something in my heart tells me that my greatest responsibility is to nurture this Essential Self. That means that every moment is here for me to love God as God, to cast off the lenses of judgement and fear and see the perfection that is.
Our Center is a place where I feel nurtured and supported as I unfold into my souls magnificence. If it is happening for me, I take comfort in knowing that I am not separate from anyone else. So. together we are awakening. The Dalai Lama reminds us that "Now is the time when our action must be practice." Practice, practice, practice.
I invite you to take advantage of the many classes, workshops and spiritual retreats that we offer at our Center. Now is the time to till the soil of our consciousness and sow greater ideas that we want to grow This is an exciting time for us all. It asks our active commitment.
How might we know, love and serve God more? Together we are building a dream that seeks to do just that. With your support, and committed participation you help make this dream a reality. This spring let us consciously and wakefully and enthusiastically make IT happen.
